Senior front end developer here looking for a quick admin theme for a MEAN project. After parsing through code, I immediately regret the purchase and choice. I dont understand how this is graded as a quality product. Sure the admin components are put together well from a design perspective. But as a developer (most likely the target audience of this product..) downloading the source files for the theme reveals an absolute nightmare. User commenting on "code quality being good" seems like a joke. What developer can reasonably parse through this in a way that isnt a headache and allows for project usage? 1) Long spaghetti code. Modularity anyone? If were developing a theme for other developers to use, wouldnt it make sense to hand off modular pieces? Not everyone needs the whole thing. And theres no telling how it reasonably pieces together. If were going to distributing code, anything that is not modular doesnt seem like code worth paying for. 2) Just a bunch of jquery plugins. Sure, sometimes its better not to reinvent the wheel. But take one look at the index file and youll see 50+ http requests for 3rd party jquery plugins. Such heavy reliance on external plugins means 0 quality control, 0 liability on behalf of the author, and a performance nightmare. In addition, the theme is said to be for "angular.js" usage. Which, to me, meant wed be leveraging directives for its UI components for data control. Nope, its just jquery plugins wrapped in angular code. That screams performance and methodology nightmare. Im unsure not sure how this theme is usable for people who want to jump start a project of reasonable scalability and quality–a goal that I suppose purchasing a theme can help accomplish. I have since ditched usage of this, wished I could get my money back, and figured it would be easier to just build my own admin theme versus parsing the code in this product, which is exactly what I am unfortunately resorted to doing.
